Personal Trainer Denver CO says assist your fat loss by avoiding artificial additives and preservatives.
Mark:
Avoid artificial additives and preservatives!
In my Fat Loss Guidelines page, I recommended that you eat foods without artificial additives and preservatives. I include this not so much for concerns of fat loss, but for general health. However, some artificial additives and preservatives are believed to negatively affect the thyroid, and insulin and leptin levels, which in turn affect storage and usage of body fat.
To my knowledge, nothing artificial has ever been found to show any conclusive evidence of sustaining or promoting good health. However, there is an overwhelming amount of evidence that suggests that artificial additives and preservatives do just the opposite. For instance, if you were to Google search the word cancer and any of the artificial additives and preservatives listed below, you’ll see for yourself.
Here’s a list of artificial additives and preservatives to look for on food labels and avoid when practical:
Propyl Gallate
BHA and BHT
Potassium Bromate
Monosodium glutamate (MSG)
Aspartame (Equal, NutraSweet)
Acesulfame-K
Olestra
Sodium Nitrite (Sodium Nitrate)
Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil
Any ingredient that is a color followed by a number (Blue 1 and Blue 2)
Just eat as nature intended as much as you can folks!
